Yes, this is how a rabbi should look like.
Not. Let's all ask our complicated shailos to someone who looks like the average European modern Orthodox but doesn't even keep shabbes according to traditional halacha, it's not like we can find someone more serious, right? Not.
The only female rabbi that looks respectable is Regina Jonas. Interestingly my husband said the same. And he noted with time they're getting worse and worse, which is true.
I am not counting the teaching/leading women from pre-reform times, Asnath Barzani, Miriam Spira and the various women who taught from behind a curtain, Chana Rochel Werbermarcher, Adel daughter of the Baal Shem Tov, etc. Also not counting the women who studied to be rabbi but "only do 95% of the job", as this is not being a rabbi.

Last night I dreamed that I had come to visitshirebound!! We were apparently meeting up for some kind of meet up but I can't discern what kind since there were other members of my f-list there as well...from all sectors of my LJ and online life. In my dream, Shirebound, you had long, curly dark hair and I was fussing at you because I couldn't believe you were using a straightener on all those gorgeous curls. You had a little doggie, too! I was watching you straighten your hair and other people who had come were mingling around us. At one point, I kissed someone on my f-list...I'm not telling who...but I will say I liked it very much. ;-p

I saw two interesting things recently at the doc.
First was a frum pregnant lady, with her mom and her daughter. Daughter was somewhere in between 8 and 12, according to her height and looks, and mom was only 3 months along but highly pregnant looking. She was worried because she couldn't feel the baby move yet, and she didn't remember how it was with her first. That's when I realized I didn't remember either!
Second was the aforementioned doc realizing someone put up a Xmas tree in the waiting room. "Who put that sh*t here?" he said, grabbing the thing and threwing it out of the apartment, reciting bein kodesh le chol! I was rolling on the floor!!

So we got a letter last night, and it wasn't even for us. Looking at the address, I decided it should be delivered to a nun's residence or dorm house (I'm sure there's a proper term but I'm to lazy to check it out). The nuns thanked me, and said they also got a mis-sent letter. I looked, it wasn't for me, and I explained where it should be.
But the nuns only gave mr a blank face.
Right, fine, I'll deliver that as well, but only today after work. Interestingly, this letter should go to a Seminary. It's all church related. If 3rd time's a charm, I wonder if there'll be a third letter to some other convent or church-run orphanage or something. Then it's some kind of message or sign, haha!

I spent the whole November and December saving up my ribbons... I resisted the Christmas event, but, I succumbed to the New Year event... oh, my 500-something ribbons earned in 5 weeks or so dwindled down to almost nothing in 5 seconds! I need to continue to save the ribbons for the next few days to get a new Obi. This Obi (and the bag) i have now was from the Yukata event....!!!! yes, I have make do with what I already have. That's life!
